The PPT8 challenge for me was different from other challenges I have completed simply because you never felt alone, or never not followed up and held accountable. Some other challenges I have completed in the past at other gyms were more of a set and forget approach, no real follow up or accountability was placed on the individual just sort of see where you end up. I felt with PPT8 that the PPT family (even if they were not part of the challenge) still held you accountable, not to mention the trainers, even if you don’t directly train with them, they would ask you how you are going and offer assistance where they could which was amazing.
Whilst on the PPT8 Challenge I had only lost 2kg of body weight…BUT I had dropped my Body fat percentage by 6% and increased my chest, arms and legs whilst achieving a reduction in my abdomen which for me was what I wanted to achieve from this challenge. That’s the stats stuff but for me what I really liked and learnt was what good food looks like and having a plan for the week. The team at PPT from the start provided us with a list of foods which was great as I had no idea.
Further to this throughout the program the participants shared meals which really helped and they tasted so good!.
As a lifestyle change I never used to meal prep because I believed that I was time poor??? I make the time every Sunday to prep our meals for the week now and I think we will never look back. I also understand more than ever that sleep is very important and try to limit screen time before I go to bed and track my sleep religiously to try and get the best shut eye I can.
If any one came up to me and said “hey I have heard about this PPT8 thing,” I would honestly say “go do it! It will change how you look at food, at exercise in general and change how you look at a gym. The team will help you 100% along the way, It will be tough but the team will make it easy, you will laugh and have fun whilst learning some amazing skills and how your body reacts and most importantly you will see your individual results.”
