On the 12th of June 2019, I decided I was going to join a new gym. After a lot of researching online I finally decided to go down to performance PT and suss it out to see if I liked it. Boy did I.
I remember walking in and being greeted by literally every employee. I then met Sean and he spoke with such passion and conviction about what they do at PPT. I instantly felt comfortable and knew I had to be apart of their family as they all like to call it!
A week later on the 19th of June I met my PT Jen and she really listened to me, and what I wanted to achieve. I knew that she was genuinely interested and not just doing so because its her job.
My goal was to get fit and be ready to apply for the NSW police force. I told Jen my strengths and weaknesses and then she created a plan on how we were going to get me fit and ready to achieve my goal. 6 months later, I passed my physical fitness test and I am heading down to the Police academy.
I also set a goal to be able to complete push ups on my toes. From not being able to do push ups at all, to now pumping out 30+ push ups on my toes is massive for me. I still can’t believe I can actually do it to be quite honest. Another goal of mine was to lose weight and gain muscle. Since joining I have lost close to 10kg, and have gained muscle everywhere. I feel stronger. I feel fitter and I’m so much more confident in my body now.
I’ve had some challenges here and there but with Jen’s coaching she’s always pulled me back into line. She has supplied me with meal plans, exercise plans, recommending food tracking apps (as well as making sure I tracked). She would also check in and see how I was going, I never expected that from a Personal Trainer. But Jen isn’t just a personal trainer, she’s much more!
I can honestly say I don’t think I would have achieved my goals without Jen, without Performance Personal Training. Jen was more than my PT coach, mind you she’s a hard ass and will not accept no as an answer, nor will she let me give up. Jen pushed me past my limits breaking down walls and barriers I never knew I had, she continues to push me every day, not only my physical capabilities but mentally as well.
I can definitely say joining Performance PT has changed my life and my lifestyle. Its not about a strict fab celebrity diet, it’s ALL about balance. That is something only Performance PT can teach you!
